Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information InteliWEAR LLC ("we", "us") collects through the SidePulse website at sidepulse.io (the "Site") and the SidePulse iOS app (the "App"), and what we do with it. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and the App has no ads or third-party analytics.

Information we collect

When you visit the Site

Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site. It collects information such as pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, browser and device type, and uses cookies to do so.
Affiliate referral cookie. If you arrive through an affiliate link (a URL with ?ref=), we store the referral code in a first-party cookie (sp_ref) for 30 days so the affiliate can be credited for a purchase.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) may record standard request information such as IP address, browser, and time of request for security and operations.
Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser information when fonts are requested.

When you buy something

Orders are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. You provide your name, email, shipping address, and payment details directly to Stripe; we receive your name, contact details, shipping address, and order details so we can fulfil and support your order. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

When you use the iOS App

Push token and pairing key. To let your computer send LED animations to a SidePulse Dot plugged into your iPhone, the App obtains an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token and generates a random pairing key. These are shared with the computer you pair with (for example via sidepulse link).
Messages relayed through our bridge. Animations you send remotely pass through our push relay (bridge.sidepulse.io), which forwards them to Apple for delivery to your device. The relay processes the device token, the LED program, and optional titles or event identifiers you include. It keeps only what it needs to deliver messages and prevent abuse, and short-lived operational logs.
Firmware updates. When the App checks for or installs device firmware, it downloads files from GitHub, which receives standard request information.
Data kept on your device. Settings, saved patterns, and the App's event log stay on your iPhone and are not sent to us.

The App contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

When you contact us

If you email us, we keep the correspondence and your contact details to answer you and for our records.

Shared patterns

If you share an LED pattern using a SidePulse pattern link, the pattern is encoded in the link itself. Anyone with the link can view the pattern.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

provide, operate, and improve the Site, the App, and our products;
process, ship, and support orders, including warranty claims;
deliver animations you send to your device;
credit affiliates for referred sales;
communicate with you about your order or your questions;
protect against fraud, abuse, and security issues, and comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run SidePulse — such as Stripe (payments), Google (hosting and analytics), Apple (push delivery), and shipping carriers — and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes. Relay logs are kept only briefly. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. You can ask us to delete other information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
You can stop the App from receiving remote animations by revoking its pairing or disabling notifications in iOS Settings, and delete its local data by deleting the App.
Depending on where you live (for example, California, the EU, or the UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us at the address below. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

SidePulse is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers and security

We are based in the United States, and information may be processed there and wherever our service providers operate. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted on the Site.
